Last Christmas my father in law got a card from me, with a promise that I should knit him a scarf.
The months passed and I kind of forgot it all - until the end of this November...
Damn, how could I ever find time to get this scarf done by Christmas, I thought. I had already a specific scarf in mind and I have had an urge to knit it for some years now. Stainless Glass it's called and I found it in the book Handknit Holidays. In Ravelry people say that it is slow to knit because you knit it in double.

I had som trouble in the beginning with the technique of double knitting. You knit the stitches of both sides at the same row. But after a few attempts I got a grip of it. So, the scarf is quite easy to do once you manage the technique. But soo boooring. Raw after row in a sockyarn.

And my father in law... well he was very happy for the scarf and had it wrapped around his neck the rest of the Christmas Eve.
